Free VoIP is here now, are you prepared for this service? In a matters of minutes you could be set-up and making calls with your free Voip service. Voip is the future for telecommunication, its taking the internet and business communities by storm.

VOIP vs Traditional Telephones

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is the technology of taking audio and transmitting it as data over the Internet. Traditional telephone lines use Circuit Switching, like switchboard operators, which is an electric current. VoIP uses Packet Switching that converts audio into data packets and transfers them over the Internet.

Free Voip being used now!

VoIP is the technology used behind combining Instant Messaging and voice. Many companies are now incorporating free VoIP with their Instant Messaging programs. All that is required is that the group are using the same application. For instance, the new Yahoo Messenger will let you call your friends on the buddies list. All you will need is a microphone and speakers attached to your computer to get free voip experience. MSN, AOL Instant and Yahoo Messengers are all integrating with VoIP. This gives people a taste of free VoIP, before going out and purchasing VoIP services for their homes or offices.

Getting connect to free Voip

It is simple to download any of these free VoIP enabled Instant Messengers. You simply go to their websites, and click on installation/download links for the applications and follow the instructions. You will need speakers and a microphone-and of course, a soundboard. If you would like to incorporate video with your Instant Messaging, you can hook up a small digital camera or web cam. By combining your audio and video with your free Voip Instant Messenger program, you will have a full quality experience.

This is just a precursor of what the future of VoIP will unveil. There are simply a few glitches as 911 and wireless hotspot issues, for the long run, we can tell that by companies incorporating VoIP shows that they at least believe it will be a strong force.

Benefits of Voip

One of the benefits of free VoIP and instant messaging is that it is absolutely free to call anyone, anywhere, worldwide. Companies are that still offer free VoIP programmes like Skype and Ad Calls. These applications will allow you to call using free VoIP programming. Ad Calls will allow you to call a telephone for free. Calls are unlimited and you will be able to make free voip long distance calls in the long run.

VoIP does offer many advantages that aren’t available with land line phones or with cellular. Some of these include the ability to talk with multiple people at once; many of the standard features bundled with normal telephone services come with VoIP packages, and the ability to speak unlimited (many services enable unlimited calling worldwide).

Disadvantage of free Voip service!

However, there are a few disadvantages with Voip. The major one using 911 with VoIP because the call is made from your data network and not a conventional land line. 911 will not be able to trace the phone call made from your free VoIP phone and obtain your address. Also, the operator will not receive any of your location information. FCC has issued rulings pertaining to this. Some options include registering with 911, when you call 911 giving them your location information right away, or keeping a land line telephone or mobile phone available for use in case of an emergency. The latter may be the best solution for enjoying the best of both worlds.

In Conclusion Voice over IP is becoming increasingly popular and powerhouses like AOL and Verizon are offering various packages. Though free VoIP is still a widely popular choice, it is increasingly harder to find. For people who aren’t ready to make the switch, they will continue to take advantage of the options available with instant messaging. As free VoIP continues to grow and more people embrace the technology of combining their telecommunication needs, such as audio, data, E-mail, video and Web services into one applications, VoIP will continue to develop new products and become more readily accessible to business and the general public.

Bhupinder makes it easy to understand and take full advantage VoIP which is the future of cheap worldwide communications. To learn more visit: Free VoIP Phone

Can we control insects with sound waves? Can we stop or control Locust Plagues and swarms? How about using high-frequency emitters to prevent them from doing destruction? Has anything like this ever been done before? There are currently some projects being done in Washington State in Apple Tree Orchards near Yakima, which had prompted me to write this article:

http://worldthinktank.net/wttbbs/index.php?s=780708d10a61d4d0000b02e0a9656a64&showtopic=649

Indeed I did read in Mid Western Farmer News of some other projects using sound and there was also a Discovery Channel show on this. There is also a gentleman in Canada who grows crickets for use in agriculture and to feed to reptiles for pet stores, which maybe of interest, although I do not have those exact details. I know it is a family owned business, but he grows millions at a time of different varieties, size and separates them out, some for producing the next batch and the rest for sale. Maybe we could borrow a container full of them to use in our experiment to see if such a thing could work? Here is one thought I had on Locusts for energy and using sound waves to control them: Printable Version:

http://worldthinktank.net/wttbbs/index.php?act=Print&client=printer&f=178&t=353

Hey what they heck, may as well tell the military to pay for the research? They have the money we could tell them something like hey controlling Locusts has military applications, uses and considerations:

http://worldthinktank.net/wttbbs/index.php?s=8ae8b897ffe0b822acf2fae0e05cbb9c&showtopic=350&st=0&#entry5120

Controlling locusts probably does not have any real military applications but if they pay for the technology and research, well it sure would help defeat these pests from ripping into the reality of the already dire straights the human race is in with its population over 6.6 Billion and so many mouths to feed? Consider all this in 2006.

Cyprus is and island that is well know for many centuries of great traditions, but to most of us simply know it as a great hotspot, which has made it a very popular destination with tourists, with over 2.4 million visiting its many resorts. Cyprus basks is more than 330 clorious days of sun each year, which has given it the name The Island of the Sun. With plenty of travel agents offering Cyprus holidays and budget airlines such as Easyjet offering routes to Paphos and Larnaca, getting there is cheaper than ever.

While attracting visitors from around the world, most of them tend to be Europeans. In recent years Russians and Poles have become poolside regulars alongside the French, Germans and, of course, us Brits.. One of the main reasons why there is such a heavy presence of Brits in Cyprus is because of the positioning of the British Armed forces in the southern Greek part of the island. With quick and easy access to the Middle East, this is likely to be the case for some time to come. The impact of this on the surrounding area is that Cypriots have grown used to, and in turn, now cater for the Brits. From English being spoken everywhere you go, to driving on the left side of the road. No doubt the similarity to the UK makes us Brits feel more at home, but in a more favourable climate.

For many reading this, the prospect of taking a holiday away from England only to be greeted at the airport by a hire car representative hailing from Croydon and being served an authentic Mediterranean dish of steak and chips will not appeal. However, this side of Cyprus, that continues to attract millions of tourists year after year, is only one aspect of the island and is concentrated around the tourist hotspots of Paphos, Larnaca and Ayia Napa. Fortunately as you venture off the beaten track, your are soon reminded of the character that has made this island a popular destination for millennia.

If your fancy cooling off, and seeing something different take a trip up to the Troodos Mountains. In the heart of the mountains you will find the Kykkos monastery, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1998. Housing art and exhibits on ancient Greece, the monastery has the twin function of being a museum for visitors and a practising monastery lived in by worshiping monks. If you are a wine lover, there are treats in store for you. A daytrip to the Troodos Mountains can be a welcome change from the beach and with overnight accommodation available in many of the authentic villages dotted about; you might want to spend a few days here sampling another side of Cyprus.

Hello! Welcome to Norway Crow

A small country on top of Europe. Its a peninsula where 2/3’s of the land is surrounded by water.

Norway boarders to Russia,Finland and Sweden. In the south, across the water is Denmark and Germany.

Norway is a very long and narrow country with approximately 4.6 million people. It is basically a mountain chain which goes down into the water so there is very little farmland. Norways main industries are fishing, crude oil, hydro electric and gas

Norway is today ruled by a King and Queen like it has been for centuries. King Harold and Queen Sonja. The heir to the throne is Crown Prince Haakon-Magnus their son. They also have a daughter Princess Martha Louise.

The Country of Norway also has a Prime Minister. The Capitol of Norway is Oslo which has a population of approximately 600,000 people, and is steadily growing, it is a “melting pot” where you can encounter cultures from all over the world.

There is something special about spending a warm summer night in downtown Oslo. There are restaurants and entertainment and the main street (Karl Johan) is filled with adults and children alike. It is such a quaint feeling of sitting in one of the dozens of sidewalk cafes enjoying a nice cup of expresso or an evening drink. While watching musicians from all over the world playing along main street. You can feel the beat of the city.

Crime is very low and the police have no need to carry guns. Even though Oslo is a special place to be Norway is so much more and has a lot of history. In order to experience this one will have to leave the city behind and do some traveling.

TRAVELING WITHIN NORWAY

No matter if its across town or across the country, Norway has a great system for getting around. with in the cities you have buses, Trams or subways which will basically take you to “the door of where you want to go”. These run frequently and does not cost much money. For longer trips you have planes and trains which are both reasonable. Also there are ferries and boats if necessary.

WHAT WOULD I LIKE TO SEE

“Norway: the land of the Midnight Sun”. a lot of people have heard this saying but they have no Idea of what it means. Well you will find out but first you need to know something that fools a lot of foreigners and tourist that come to Norway to see this. First of all a lot of people who plan their trip to Norway plan it around the capitol (Oslo) in hope they will see the midnight sun. WRONG. There is no midnight sun in the southern part of Norway.

Like said earlier Norway is a very long country and only about 1/3 of the country Stretches above the Arctic Circle. The Midnight Sun can only be observed north of the Arctic Circle. So as you see a lot of people come half way around the world to see the splendor of the Midnight Sun, but the never do because they are in the wrong part of the country. What a disappointment.

I assume you got the point! In order to see the Midnight Sun you will have to travel North of the Arctic Circle to the north of Norway.

The Most popular and spectacular destination for tourist is a place called NordKapp. It is the furthest North/west in Europe you can go to experience this.

Time to get to the point. What is the Midnight Sun? You can probably imagine from the word what it is but for most people it is unimaginable that the sun can shine all night, but it does.

For about 3 months of the summer our globe is at such an angle that in the arctic area the sun never goes down. No, don’t get this wrong if it a cloudy or rainy day you will not see the sun but at any other time, 24 hours a day, the sun is shining. No! it does not get dark but the sun shines different at night. It shines within a wide specter of colors ranging from bright yellow to pink and red.

If you are watching the midnight sun by the open water the sun will “hang” just above the horizon and shine on the water. You will see the most brilliant colors as it reflects on the surface of the ocean. If you should happen to be in the mountains the most beautiful colors of pink and red will cover everything.

This is something you would have to see to believe. definitely something to see at least once in a lifetime.

Just one more thing before we leave “the land of the midnight sun”. Your body may have a hard time figuring out if it is night or day so you might not get a lot of sleep.

Also, don’t give your kids a hard time about not going to sleep. It might be late but let them go out and play. Thats what the locals do!

NORWEGIAN FJORDS

What could be more beautiful a serene than a boat trip through the Fjords? More or less untouched by modern civilization the Fjords are visited by thousands of people a year.

The whole peninsula of the country of Norway has Fjords. From the very south to the very north, No matter where you are along the coast you should be able to expeiance their beauty. Some of the Fjords are smal and others are miles long with mountains on each side so tall it will make you dizzy looking up at them.

Basically what a Fjord is, is a “waterway” making its way inland with steep mountains on each side. Sometimes you will even see beautiful waterfalls Running down the mountainside.

When you come to the end of the fjord or as you travel in them you may often see small little farms or fishing villages. A lot of them are now empty and people have moved, but there are still places where people still live. In these small villages tourists can rent small cabins and stay for a while if they like to.

Normally if you end up staying in these small places you will be able to rent a boat to go out on your own and some places even has horses you can ride and explore on your own.

There area lot of different cruises you can take along the Norwegian coast. You can even take a cruise along the whole coast line if you would like to. From the very south to the very north. On one of these cruises to the fjords the boat stops on one of Norways glaciers and you can go glacier hiking.

The opportunities are many if one just take their time and search around for what is out there.

A life in bankruptcy is not an unbearable phase if you look at it from a positive angle. If you found it unbearable, I’m sure you won’t want to go through it again. While the court ‘reorganizes’ you by selling your personal assets to pay off your debts, so too you must reorganize your thoughts and look forward to live a life of prudence.

Here are 7 tips you can apply to get your life back on track as soon as possible so that you can find a way to return to a lifestyle of less financial worries and gradually break free from the shackles of an unpleasant past.

1) Seek sincere help. In modern societies where urbanites get too busy in their own lives, it is not surprising to have people whom you know suddenly turn their backs on you when you seek their assistance. It’s like they are thinking, “I can’t believe it. I’ve never been a bankrupt so why are you so deep in the dumps?” Forget about these people. Your immediate family will be the first to know your situation and only they can give you continued love and support. Make a checklist of names and how they can help you as much as what you can do for them, as well as (very) close friends whom you know can depend on.

2) Be responsible. And I mean REALLY responsible. Once bitten twice shy; don’t get mired in debt again. You can blame on exorbitant increase in the cost of living, that business partner who sued you or the failing stock market but they are not going to say sorry anytime. It’s time to take a critical look at your spending habits and evaluate them, understanding where you have wasted and invested your money. Do a monthly plan-and-review for your savings and expenditure. A very good hint of wastage is putting your money in places you don’t know much of. Learn how to disengage from risks which you can’t afford to get involved.

3) Get paid work immediately. Get your life productive again. There is no more greater blessing than learning to appreciate your ability to earn your keeps. Within your checklist, you should have a couple of people whom you can approach in this area. Leverage on your experience and expertise to make an offer of what you can contribute to their benefit.

4) Join a credit union. Such helpful organizations can offer loans which normal institutions like banks will not do otherwise, but make sure there’s confidence on both sides that you can repay the loan.

5) Far too many people never had a concrete financial/retirement plan even though they know it’s important. Engage a financial advisor to be your personal counsel. Set aside cash reserves for rainy days or emergencies. Find adequate insurance to protect your remaining assets and family. Avoid high-risk ventures or ‘investments’.

6) Keep track of all debts due and paid to your creditors. Make sure your credit report is updated for the record.

7) Sharpen your financial literacy. Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” is a strong advocate for personal fiancial education. You can always pick up financial literature along the way and think about how you may change the way you look at your wealth. You never know how truly rich people think differently about their money from the rest of us.

As the saying goes, “Time heal all wounds.” It will take years to be a ‘normal’ person again, but once you know you have attained the discipline to practice good habits, there’s no reason how you can fall back to the old self. As you become wiser, you can better inform others about the unhealthy influences of commercialism and consumerism.

The latter developed in part by Knopper who has a visual impairment. Experimental approaches in sensory substitution are beginning to provide access to arbitrary live views from a camera.

Web browsers, word processors, icons and windows and email programs are just some of the applications used successfully by screen reader users. Only a small fraction of this population, when compared to the sighted community, have Internet access.

Later versions of Microsoft Windows include an Accessibility Wizard and Magnifier for those with partial vision, and Microsoft Narrator, a simple screen reader. The rest have some vision, from light perception alone to relatively good acuity. There are also open source screen readers, such as the Linux Screen Reader for GNOME and NonVisual Desktop Access for Windows.

Screen readers can be assumed to be able to access all display content that is not intrinsically inaccessible.

The movement towards greater web accessibility is opening a far wider number of websites to adaptive technology, making the web a more inviting place for visually impaired surfers. Linux distributions for the blind include Oralux and Adriane Knoppix. Therefore, using a screen reader is, according to some users, considerably more difficult than using a GUI and many applications have specific problems resulting from the nature of the application. A persons choice of screen reader is dictated by many factors, including platform and the role of organizations like charities, schools, and employers.

Comming year Anthony Loeff nonprofit volunteer is writing about screen readers for people suffering from blindness Almost 14 percent of those deemed legally blind, by any measure, have no vision. The open source GNOME desktop environment long included Gnopernicus and now includes Orca. Screen reader choice is contentious: differing priorities and strong preferences are common. This interpretation is then represented to the user with text-to-speech, sound icons, or a braille output. The primary audience for such applications is those who have difficulty reading because of learning disabilities or language barriers. The Macintosh OS also comes with a built-in screen reader, called VoiceOver. The console-based Oralux Linux distribution ships with three screen-reading environments: Emacspeak, Yasr and Speakup. While Apple Mac OS X includes VoiceOver, a more feature-rich screen reader. Most legally blind people 60 percent do not use computers. A screen reader is a software application that attempts to identify and interpret what is being displayed on the screen. Indeed functionality remains limited compared to equivalent desktop applications, the major benefit is to increase the accessibility of said websites. Access technology such as screen readers and Screen magnifiers enable the blind to use mainstream computer applications. Recent versions of Microsoft Windows come with the rather basic Narrator. Screen readers are a form of assistive technology potentially useful to people who are blind, visually impaired, or learning disabled, often in combination with other AT such as screen magnifiers. More and more, screen readers are being bundled with operating system distributions.

As of late, gaming laptops were usually built to order by special retailers. The sales figures were never really amazing but they did make more cash on each unit than others. They were the kind of laptop computer everyone wanted but the one they just were unable to afford. They were simply the best laptops that the technology could provide at that time. Though that was true I think the prices were so expensive that we would buy laptop computers that were not so good instead. I believe things are already shifting though and will continue to because the established brands are all moving into the market.

I guess they could class it as a premium laptop and make lots of money on these particularly with their economies of scale. This could be a great way to make considerable profits for them. This was really the remaining sector left where people would buy laptops from littler system builders. What would local companies possibly do if their prices are undercut? I am fairly certain that the bigger manufacturers will seek to force the small ones out. Buyers will additionally gain a lot more peace of mind when parting with a big amount of money.

In my opinion these brands are rolling out the best laptops at this moment. I still reckon that local resellers will gain some encouragement from this. I can determine the service of getting to configure the notebook computer to be a cardinal buying factor. Being educated in the technology, these kinds of consumers are very clued up on what details to compare. If you are getting the notebook for gaming then surely the speed is the first priority.

This would be viewed as a good thing for the gamer. Advanced technology will be more accessible in the future for the majority of customers as it will act to drive prices down even more. Take note that’s just my opinion on the current situation. Whether technology prices will drop overall is another matter however the best laptops are always over priced. It’s tough to tell what will occur now that the large manufacturers have gotten involved in producing laptops for gaming.

Horse racing is perhaps one of the oldest sports in America. The charisma and aura of the game is such that it refreshes and revitalizes your spirits. If taken in the right sense i.e. not as a gamble with your limited money, horse racing is one of the best and conspicuous sports to play.

Before taking on to this game, one needs to have a very lucid idea of the entire chemistry of this game. This includes a proper knowledge of different strategies and rules of the game. Since you will be betting on horses taking part in the race, your primary knowledge should comprise which horse will take you to victory. The best means to educate your self about the horses is to pick up two three latest good magazines on horse racing. The statistics in there reveal which horse is by far the most wanted one and also the reasons for it. Read the average winnings of different horses and why some horses fail to make it to the list of favorable ones. Make an appropriate assessment in your mind about the horses on the basis of your readings.

The best you can do after that is to visit the race course if it is thrown open to public to attend morning sessions. If not, don’t be disheartened. Just try to make it a little early to the ground on the event day. For that will give an opportunity to read the track and perceive various horses to make your observations. Try to match your readings with your perception. Based on a survey of the track (if the track is dry, wet etc.) there are several parameters to decide the winning chances of the horse on that very day. With a hawk’s eye scrutinize the behavior of the horses as they march past to the stands before commencement of the race. If the horse is sweating, limping, walking with head down, or seems inattentive, weary and distracted then there are less chances to its win. Bet on the horse with an adequately sturdy built and fluent gait keeping in mind your analysis of the track and what your intuition says.

The horses are even categorized as- Front Runners, Closers and Morning Glories. The front runners occupy the front stage throughout the race. The closers are close chasers since beginning and can be effective winners in the end. The case is different with morning glories that shine brightly like the sun initially but die out soon, leaving at an unsatisfactory note. If two horses simultaneously reach the end, it is a tie case known as dead heat in the language of this sport. A finish is termed as blanket finish when two horses end up so closely that there is a negligible difference between them.
If you are new to this sport, you are advised not to take any risk of betting on a horse that has more odds. The more are the odds, the least are the chances of winning. For instance if the odds are 10:1 then for every 1 dollar you bet in return you will get 10 dollars back which is not considered to be a good deal. A fair adjudication of the odds on the basis of kind of field, past record and type of the horse and the jockey who takes on the horse is made by the odds makers on the field. This calculative efficiency gradually sweeps in with experience.

But one thing should always be categorically borne in mind that you should wager on the horse only when the money you bet is the one you can contentedly afford to lose. Never make it an addiction that makes you bet the money meant for your child’s education or household work i.e. any basic, important necessity of life. An addiction to any thing is fatal in the end. So let horse racing be a pleasure in leisure.

When fuel prices were low, it was often difficult to justify the upfront outlay of cash required to install solar panels, solar water heaters and similar equipment. The reason was simple to understand - it would simply take too long to recoup the cost of the equipment in the form of lower energy bills.

But prices are now higher than many of us ever expected. As energy prices continue to go up, the amount of time required to recoup the upfront cost goes down. In addition, a number of state and local tax incentives make it even easier for homeowners to go solar and save money right away.

Solar power has already proven itself and its ability to lower energy costs substantially, and more and more homeowners are taking a serious look at converting their residences to solar power. The costs of installing solar panels is still high, with a typical two kilowatt installation of solar panels from OVR Solar costing around £10,000 / ($20, 000) in most cases, but special tax incentives and long term energy savings can help homeowners recoup those upfront costs faster than ever before.

Encouragement for our governments is now forthcoming. This tax savings can help eligible homeowners recoup some of the costs of installing solar panels and solar water heating systems up front, in addition to the energy savings they will enjoy down the road.

Any homeowner considering the installation of a solar system should be sure to check with his or her state and city to determine what types of tax breaks are available. It’s sensible to look into what help your local authorities are willing to provide. Just Google it to find out what help is available to you.

Breakeven point for your outlay may seem far away at todays prices - but what about at tomorrows?. However, as the prices for heating oil, gas and other forms of traditional energy continue to soar, so will demand for alternatives

Sound familiar? Ever wondered what happens to those unopened emails that you see in your stats from your latest email campaign/newsletter? Yep, you guessed it-their mail servers are doing it for them.

This is what is referred to as a “False Positive”. It means that although the recipient has opted in to receive your newsletter, for some reason or another, the mail server’s filters have deemed it to be Spam and, in most cases deleted it, before the recipient has had the chance to give their verdict on whether it was worth opening or not.

In order to protect themselves (and presumably us) against the onslaught of unwanted emails, the servers have implemented filters, which are designed to stop Spam in its tracks. Of course there are bound to be some casualties - and in this case it is your legitimate correspondence.

There are four main things that happen when an email is filtered - depending upon which type of filter is being used.

  1. It gets delivered - it has been deemed not to be Spam.
  2. It gets deleted without notification to either sender or recipient.
  3. It’s deleted and the sender is notified via auto-bounce that the email address is no longer valid, even though it may be valid.
  4. It’s deleted and a blacklist is notified that the sender is a Spammer.
So, let’s have a look at the types of filters currently in use:

Community: This is based on the community joining together and installing the filters, then reporting any occurrences of Spam. False Positive occurrences should be low, but in reality they aren’t. This is due to a couple of reasons: The first being the weed theory. What one person regards as a weed, another may regard as a flower. We all have different opinions. The other is that many people are now reporting once wanted email as Spam instead of unsubscribing.

Blacklisting: ISP’s generally use their own proprietary lists of known Spammers, created by themselves. Third party blacklisting companies also publish databases of Spam senders. False Positive’s are extremely high, as these third party blacklists have no accountability. In fact anyone can report an IP Address as a Spammer and do not have to qualify their reasons.
Address recognition: Sender’s email address is in the recipient’s address book or the server’s/gateway’s acceptable list. Email senders must earn their position within these lists.

Trapping: The filter company plants email addresses all through the Internet to attract Spam Harvesters. Once the false addresses receive Spam, the source of the Spammer is identified; the sender is then blocked immediately across all users of the filter. False positives are extremely low.

Challenge-Response: This white listing concept is based on all emails being Spam and the sender having to prove otherwise. Before an email is delivered, the ISP or PC that uses the filter challenges that a human sent the email. The sender has to then manually click the link and then they are added to the subscriber’s permissible list. Any auto-responses such as Double Opt in responses do not work well with this type of filter.

Rule-Based: This is the most commonly used type of filter on a server. It catches Spam by rejecting/accepting messages based on predetermined rules of what is acceptable.

Bonded Sender: Email markers gain status as a non-Spammer through these bonder senders and are therefore permitted through the filters.

Volume Blocking: Spammers are known to send high volume emails without thought to speed, volume or list cleanliness. The ISP sees the large amount as well as the other problems and terminates the connection.

Probability: Using rules, a method “learns” the users definitions of Spam and decides what may be regarded as Spam. False Positives increase as rule-based Spam is reduced.

Remember though, not only are you dealing with rule-based filters as well as the other types of filters (and most servers use a combination of filters), you also need to get past the personalised filters (i.e. the recipient themselves), so be sure to test your campaign thoroughly before sending it.
