Mass media, America’s nasty Chlamydia, a V.D., an S.T.D. called Network TV. You bet; the wet nurses, coercers and disbursers of news and views to the nation, or a confused interpretation thereof; the Corporations’ representation, as released for general dissemination to the beast, as Alexander Hamilton, was pleased to describe us. He ascribed to the line of thought, that proscribed and sought to, exclude, all those considered crude, and untutored, which effectively, even back then, neutered ninety percent of the white male complement. But that’s all changed; now a range of, activities are in place, to keep the real proclivities and face of America invisible; so much for indivisible. We have now, rabid consumers and avid assumers; a non-thinking population. Yet another generation, which accepts, unblinking, the precepts of reality, as defined, by a refined, and elite ideology, sponsored by the Captains of Industry; what they perceive, we’re supposed to believe, and take for truth. It’s a ruse, make-believe, designed to deceive us, and at the same time relieve us of, any responsibility, for planning, or manning our own destiny; it’s all serendipity say the few. Their one sided view, right on cue, causes refraction, and pauses the action of the many. Weapons of mass distraction; fixing our attention in another dimension thus, switching our focus to another locus, to further muddy our perception. A perfect deception, a standard joke; to be candid, a yoke. Like the myth of the liberal media, the wish of the ignorant, and more belligerent whose, core is blinded by the right; sightless drones who don’t even know the media’s been owned and cloned by Corporate America, since their advent, which event, brought to the forefront their insatiable greed, and the need to plant a seed and prevent a thinking agent - indeed their main intent - was to reinvent the wheel, so they could say what’s good and what’s real; what’s hot, and what’s not; reality V for all to see. And we all trot along, with our little patriot songs; they got us, led us, dead to right or wrong, we’re on the side of the strong, all night long. The polls showed the incumbent ahead, although I read and heard the word on the street was, hell no, he’s got to go. More than a few refused to choose between the War on Terror, and the flaw of economic error.

We were driving back home in the rain. The road was slick and the wind was howling. The trees were swaying back and forth like a metronome and everything felt wrong. This did not seem like the best time to be driving back. Our car is pitiful. A small, slow moving compact that runs on good old usa workmanship. Meaning, it doesn’t run well. I keep thinking that it will break down and we’ll be stranded on the side of a dark, lonely road, where some scary guy in a beat up pickup will offer to take us where we need to go. Only, as most know by now, this country hick, is plotting to chop us up in pieces and use our bleached bones as furniture in his mud hut. Everything carries a price. If you do something that you know, deep down, you shouldn’t be doing, that price could bankrupt your life.

As my mind ping pongs back and forth of various atrocities that could befall us if we don’t make it home without incident, I notice that my boyfriend doesn’t seem worried at all. He’s enjoying my freight. It’s almost as if he’s confident that everything is going to be ok based on some inner knowledge that he has but isn’t willing to share with me. This is an outrage. What is he thinking I wonder. He looks at me, smiling, and opens up the glove compartment, which has a small box inside. He tells me that now is the perfect time if there every was a good time. Inside is a custom engagement ring from Riverside. I couldn’t believe it. It diamonds were shining bright and my spirits have been uplifted.

As I have aged I have noticed that my eyes are the part of my face that are showing the signs of aging the most. When I saw those fine lines it took my breath away. Where did they come from? So, my anti-aging skin care treatment to always use is eye cream. Whatever kind that works best for you is fine but I think it is more important to use something. Not taking care of that delicate eye area will catch up with you at some point. Even if you are like me and were already showing signs, start taking care today.

It is funny but I have always used some form of moisturizer. Even when I was a teenager I used something. So as I have gotten older I have made product changes and now I am using an anti wrinkle face cream. To be honest, my skin looks pretty good but I do not know what it would look like if I had not been so diligent with moisturizers. My plan is to just keep on keeping on and use the proper age appropriate moisturizer to try and hold on to the best looking skin that I can possibly have.

While there are many culprits to blame balding on, there are several key factors to examine when determining the reason for a woman’s loss of hair. Stress, pregnancy, medications, hormonal problems, and thyroid disease are some of the most common causes of hair loss in women. Have you been under a lot of stress lately? Are you pregnant or taking medications? Is your hair loss minimal or excessive? In order to find a solution to your hair loss problem, you have to ask yourself these questions. Your family physician may be able to target the cause and find an easy solution for you.

Illness

Your body has a way of telling you when something is wrong. This is not to say that all hair-loss experiences determine that you’re ill. You may be perfectly healthy. Nevertheless, hair-loss and balding can and should be taken as a serious warning. You should consult your family physician and go for any necessary tests and/or procedures that he/she may recommend.

Did you know that hormonal imbalances can be the cause of your hair loss? This is very correctible with medications and/or estrogen shots. Your hair-loss is very likely to stop once the problem is treated. Women’s thyroid glands, that are overactive or underactive, commonly ‘warn’ the body of possible thyroid disease. The body will shed hair as a result of this ‘warning.’ Since hair loss has been noted as a an early sign of many diseases, it’s important to find the cause so doctors can find a solution.

Pregnancy

Many women experience hair loss approximately two or three 3 months after they’ve delivered their babies. This loss form of hair-loss is directly related to hormones. During a woman’s pregnancy, high levels of specific hormones can cause the female body to retain hair that (under normal circumstances) would normally fall out. When a pregnant woman’s hormones return to pre-pregnancy hormone levels, that retained hair falls out. Although it may seem odd, it’s usually nothing to worry about, as the hair will grow back in a short period of time.

Young Women

The most common cause of hair-loss in teenage women is stress. Nevertheless, stress is not the only cause. Hair loss in young women can also be a warning sign of the following: Infection, poor hygiene habits, excessive dye in hair, medication intake, lupus, and or diabetes.

Improper Care of Hair

Tight pony-tails, pigtails, braids, cornrows, and curlers can cause a type of her loss known as Alopecia. If scarring occurs on the delicate skin on your scalp, your hair may never grow back. Scarring, unfortunately, results in permanent hair loss. How does this ’scarring’ occur, you may ask. Hot oil treatment, chemicals for perms, bleach, and metallic dyes may cause inflammation to the hair follicles on your scalp. These inflammations, which first appear as swelling, often turn into scars. The final result can be hair-loss.

You’ve had the bariatric weight-loss surgery and you are looking fabulous as you are feeling healthier, able to live a more active lifestyle, and wear more fashionable clothing. But you’re noticing that your skin seems to be so dry! If you’ve had a problem with acne or oily skin before, then you are elated that your skin has cleared up and is less oily. But for those who started out with normal to dry skin to begin with, this new extra-dry skin poses a bit of an issue, even perhaps, a discomfort from itching and flakiness.

Developing dry skin after the surgery can become a problem for many after they undergo the surgery. Not getting enough fluids in is probably the biggest culprit but not solely responsible. Acne and oily skin often come as a result of certain foods; and since a bariatric patient has basically cut out such foods that are fatty, fried, and greasy, the acne or oily skin goes away. This is happy news for someone who battled acne or oily skin for years. But for those who fall into the normal to dry skin category prior to surgery, the increased dryness can be irritating.

The skin is the largest organ of our bodies. It is a breathing and functional covering of our body that holds our skeleton, muscles, and vital organs all in one neat safe package. Our skin sweats, absorbs, feels sensations, and also protects everything inside. It is important that we take care of it so it can continue to function at its best for us.

Hand and body lotions are the easiest remedies that offer a wide range simple basics to vitamin-enriched formulas. It’s wise to experiment with little trial samples of these products to find out what soothes your skin issues the best. Buy the smallest amount possible at first so in the event your skin doesn’t’ like a product, not so much money was spent on something you wont’ use again. And when you find that product that works best for you, remember where you purchased it so you can buy more - because you WILL buy more when you use your favorite hand or body lotion everyday. Hand lotion will be used several times a day, probably each time after you wash your hands; so carry some hand lotion with you in your hand bag (men… have some in the car). Washing hands really dries out the skin since soap and tap water is harsh. Your hands may be clean, but they tend to get so dry, you can barely pick up a single sheet of paper!

Along with daily applications of hand and body lotion, I highly recommend the use of bath salts at least twice a week as well. A good soaking bath in bath salts will give your dry skin the extra treatment it needs. Bath salts soften the bath tap water for the skin while the skin absorbs the softness from the salts… just like clothing absorbs fabric softener. If you do a lot of swimming in chlorinated pools, your skin will truly thank you after a good bath salts soaking. Bath salts provide a long-lasting effect and make the skin feel refreshed. Bath salts come in loose crystals or in solid forms that dissolve in warm water. I prefer the crystals because this allows you to control the amount you want to use per bath, be it a lot or a little. Plain Epsom salts are the barebones if that’s all you want, or you can buy the bath salts that are colored and perfumed to enhance your soaking pleasure and ambiance.

Don’t forget the lips! They are suffering too from dryness after surgery! Use a good moisture-rich product. For problem lips that need help instantly, try a medicated lip balm that has special healing medicines that will take immediate affect to stop the cracking and burning. Lip balm should be worn throughout all seasons as the cold, heat, wind, and sun are not kind to unprotected lips.

When you buy sunscreens for outdoor activities, select a product that offers not only efficient sun blockage for you, but also offers moisturizers.

If you’ve never babied or pampered your skin prior to surgery, then you need to begin doing it afterward. You’ll find that you’re experiencing more “touching” encounters than ever before because people want to hug you in congratulatory embraces as they tell you how happy they are for you. Make it a “softer” experience for everyone involved as you drench your skin with great skin products.

Skin care is something that needs to become a part of your daily routine as much as getting enough fluids in after surgery. If you do this, your skin will feel healthier, look more radiant, and you will probably knock a few years off of your appearance too! Continue to amaze others - not only in your weight-loss achievements, but in your general overall healthy appearance as well. Remember those hugs that are coming!

Breast implant surgery has been embraced by millions of women around the globe, despite the medical and social controversies surrounding the procedure. Women’s’ breasts since time immemorial have been eye candy for men and a source of pride for women. No wonder, it has also been the inspiration for much beauty in literature.

Breast enhancement is the buzzword of the cosmetic plastic surgery industry and breast implants have been heralded and desired by women of every shape, size, and financial background. Also called mammoplasty, a breast implant procedure increases the volume of the breast(s) by the placement of an implant within the chest, behind each breast. Changes as a result of weight loss, childbirth, and aging can lead a woman to the decision to undergo a breast implant procedure. And although the safety of the breast implants has been questioned in the past, recent research has concluded that saline breast implants are safe to use and to receive.

What is Breast Implant Surgery?

Breast implants surgery is the planting of prosthesis to enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breasts or to reconstruct the breast. Of the four types of breast implants, saline (salt water) filled implants are now the most popular, and regarded as the safest, in cosmetic surgery circles.

Breast Implants Surgery - Before the Implants

In the initial consultation, the physician will be looking to determine whether a patient is the best candidate for the breast implant procedure. An extensive medical history will be taken, as well as medical tests to determine the patient’s current health status. Before the breast implant surgery, the surgeon must have a comprehensive overview of the patient’s health - so it is necessary that any problems, or medications, or recreational drug use be disclosed at this appointment. Some patients’ history may preclude them from undergoing the breast implants procedure, or at least need to be scheduled at a later date when health issues and habits have been resolved.

Breast Implants Surgery - Who are they for?

The best candidate for breast implants is a woman that has completed the growth processusually the age of 18 is determined to be the cutoff age. And women who are not pregnant or breastfeeding are also good candidates for breast implants. Patients should also be in good health and not planning significant weight loss. Any of these factors can change the intended results of the breast implants.

Breast Implants Surgery - The Procedure

The breast implants procedure is usually done under general anesthesia, or when the patient is ‘asleep’. The implant is inserted through a small incision, with hardly any scar that can be noticed. Sometimes the incision for the breast implants is underneath the breast, or it may be within the lower edge of the areola, or it may be in the armpit area so as to avoid any scars in the breast region. After the incision is made, the surgeon opens a pocket under the natural breast where the breast implant will be placed. Once the implant is in place, then the incision is closed and the next breast is done, if necessary.

Breast Implants Surgery - Risks and Complications

Breast implants have always been frowned upon by medical professionals and moral police. But there are real risks associated with breast implants. The most recent controversy is that of implants filled with a silicone gel, so many physicians are using implants that are filled with a saline solution instead. In the rare occurrence the implant is punctured and the contents are released, the saline solution is reabsorbed by the body without adverse effects. With silicone implants, some patients have reported disastrous effects from the breakage of the silicone filled breast implants. It seems that the silicone can induce the body’s immune system to respond and it can cause a type of chronic autoimmune disease in some.

Other possible complications include the same as with any surgery: reactions from the anesthesia during the receiving of the breast implants, infection, slippage of the implant, and patient dissatisfaction with the results.

Many people may not realize it but skin care has been an issue for thousands and thousands of years. It was the ancient Egyptians who were actually the first ones to use many 0f the beauty regimens which we use today.

As long ago as the fourth millennium BC, Egyptians have been taking their skin care very seriously. Egyptians were already using natural skin conditioners to treat skin conditions. These Egyptians used ingredients such as jajoba, safflower oil, rose hip oil, shea butter, witch hazel, tea tree oil, chamomile, and aloe vera. Many of these ingredients are used in many of the skin products that we use today.

The ancient Egyptians also had the idea of combining several skin care products to create one product which can cure many skin conditions. One recipe which was used by the Egyptians consists of bullock’s bile, whipped ostrich eggs, olive oil, dough, and resin mixed with milk.

It is the ancient Egyptians who we can thank for the invention of soap. It has been said that the ancient Egyptians extracted soap from a soapwort plant. This soap would then be mixed with fragrance and animal oil to create soap. More about the bascis of skin care here

Sunless tanning is becoming very popular, there are two main reasons for this. Firstly having a good tan has become fashionable and desirable. A lot of people do not live in a place with constant sunshine and most of us cannot afford a holiday to the sun to top up our tans every month. This means that people are turning to the various methods of sunless tanning to achieve the desired result. The second reason is to do with health. It is common knowledge that regular exposure to the sun increases the risk of contracting skin cancer. Also the sun has an aging effect on skin, regular sun bathing can leave you looking older than you actually are. Sunless tanning can offer a safe way to get that bronzed look you were after without damaging your skin.

There are 4 main sunless tanning methods you can use:

1.Sunless Tanning Lotion - Sunless tanning lotions generally contain the bronzing ingredient dihydroxyacetone (DHA). This is a colourless sugar that interacts with dead skin cells causing a colour change to occur. The colour change usually lasts about 5 to 7 days from the initial application. This is a popular method of sunless tanning but it can be difficult to get an even tan.

2.Spray Tanning - The science of spray tanning is similar to tanning lotions, but the tanning solution is applied in a spray. This can either be done manually by a spray gun or automatically in a tanning booth. A new development in spray tanning is the colourless tanning solution. This solution does not contain bronzer and affords a less streaky, more even tan.

3.Tanning Beds - Tanning beds or sunbeds contain fluorescent tubes, these tubes tan the skin by emitting Ultraviolet (UV) Rays, the same type of radiation that is found in natural sunlight. These tanning beds are an effective sunless tanning method but frequent, long term usage can lead to skin cancer and skin aging.

4.Tanning Pills - Tanning pills come in three varieties: Those that contain caretenoid pigments, those that contain tyrosine and those with no active ingredients. Caretenoid pills contain a pigment which, when taken internally saturates the fat layers just below the skin, which appears to give the skin colour. These pills can change the colour of your skin but the results are often undesirable. The colouration can look unnatural and tends to be concentrated in fatty areas leaving an uneven effect. The other 2 types of tanning pill are not proven to have any effect on the colour of your skin.

Generally the best method of sunless tanning is the spray tan, or if you can not get to a tanning salon you can use a tanning lotion. There are a wide variety of sunless tanning products available so some experimentation may be necessary to find one which you are comfortable using and which works with your skin type. Tanning beds are effective but they have similar risks to conventional sunbathing. Tanning pills are best avoided unless you know exactly what they contain and what the effect will be on your skin.

Acne medication can be expensive, especially if you use prescription medication. The acne skin care industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. That gives you some idea of how much people are spending in order to rid their skin of acne. But what if you don’t have that kind of money to spend on acne medications? Should you just give up and accept your acne breakouts? The answer is no because you can treat your acne for a fraction of the cost by using ingredients found in your cupboards and refrigerator.

Natural acne treatments also work well if you have sensitive skin. Some people cannot handle harsh acne medications; it leaves their skin dry and itchy and may cause a rash. Most store bought acne treatments also make your skin more sensitive to the sun causing it to burn easier. Natural acne treatments do not have any of these negative side effects as long as you are not allergic to one of the ingredients.

The following acne treatments can be made from home and you will most likely have at least some, if not all of the ingredients needed.

This first natural acne treatment is an oatmeal-based cleanser that is ideal to eliminate blackheads. All you have to do is to mix oatmeal powder with just enough rose water to form a paste that can be spread across your skin easily. Apply the paste to your problem areas and allow it to sit for about fifteen minutes. Then, simply rinse it off with cold water to help close the pores. Repeat this procedure daily for the best results.

Honey is one of the best natural acne fighting ingredients. This is because honey actually kills the bacterium that causes acne. You can apply pure honey to your problem pimples after thoroughly cleansing your skin. Keep the honey on your skin for ten minutes, then rinse off. This is a natural acne treatment that will make your pets want to lick your face!

If you are looking for a natural acne treatment that is designed to prevent acne, blackheads and pimples from forming in the first place, then you should try the following recipe. Simply apply a mixture with equal parts of groundnut oil and limejuice to your face. Leave the mixture on your skin for ten to fifteen minutes and then wash off. Repeat this daily to keep your pimples at bay.

To make pimples disappear forever mix 3 tablespoons of honey with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Apply the paste as a spot treatment wherever you have a pimple just before bed. Leave it on over night and rinse it off in the morning. Repeat this procedure for two weeks. After that, you will never have to worry about acne again.

If you want your pimples to disappear without leaving an embarrassing acne scar behind, then simply rub fresh garlic on and around your pimples morning and night. This is said to not only reduce the inflammation of a pimple but it also prevents a red mark from forming.

You may be surprised at how effective natural acne treatments can be. You have nothing to lose by trying one of the recipes above, except for your acne!
