As I have aged I have noticed that my eyes are the part of my face that are showing the signs of aging the most. When I saw those fine lines it took my breath away. Where did they come from? So, my anti-aging skin care treatment to always use is eye cream. Whatever kind that works best for you is fine but I think it is more important to use something. Not taking care of that delicate eye area will catch up with you at some point. Even if you are like me and were already showing signs, start taking care today.

It is funny but I have always used some form of moisturizer. Even when I was a teenager I used something. So as I have gotten older I have made product changes and now I am using an anti wrinkle face cream. To be honest, my skin looks pretty good but I do not know what it would look like if I had not been so diligent with moisturizers. My plan is to just keep on keeping on and use the proper age appropriate moisturizer to try and hold on to the best looking skin that I can possibly have.

How many times have you been faced with a decision to make and all of a sudden you get this feeling of instinctively knowing what you must do? Something inside you is telling you the difference between what you should do and what you are meant to do. Many people interpret this as a hunch, a gut feeling or having an inkling.

It’s actually called your intuition.

The latin meaning of intuition is ‘in to you’. Makes sense doesn’t it. What a wonderful resource you each have at your fingertips and it can be utilized without formal training. All you need to do is become aware of this amazing power within you and start using it.

Intuitive messages come in a range of ways such as hearing actual words, visualizing a clear and distinct picture, in dream format, a deep inner knowing or a quiet, subtle nudge. It’s important that you become familiar with how your inner self communicates with you and how this message will bring with it a sense of calm confidence.

Here’s some tips to help you get in touch with your own intuition.

Practice

Take a few minutes each day to experience inner silence. Calm your mind and clear your thoughts so that the information from your soul can surface.

Be Open to This Power

Get past the ego that thinks you have everything figured out and be open to new possibilities. Your true path may not be the one that you are currently working on.

Get Creative

Creativity provides a forum for expression and a great venue for helping your intuition get past all the day to day stuff in life.

Ask Yourself Some Questions

When you ask yourself, ‘What’s the next step?”, you will instinctively know what you need to do. This is the time when you must begin to learn to trust yourself.

Remember, intuition is not something you can force, it simply must be allowed to surface. Give it time to work on challenges you may face, be open to the possibilities and you will be rewarded with an instant awareness and perhaps an “Aha” or two.

Intuition is never attached to results. There’s no rush, no confusion. Just a feeling of empowerment. Your own intuition will support your personal growth and help you through lifes transitions. Begin by putting it to work in small ways and eventually your sixth sense will enhance your life like your other five senses are able to do.

Let me challenge you to put yourself out there for the next twenty-four hours and make a list of all the times you have listened to your own intuition. Some of you may find that it speaks to you many times and others not at all.

That’s ok.

Sometimes it takes time and commitment to develop this skill but I guarantee you will find a huge difference in your life once you begin trusting this wonderful power within you.

As we all know diabetes is a lifelong disease with no cure, however it does have treatment and other measures that the patient is advised to follow for a better life. First of all under ‘how to live with diabetes’ comes responsibility and self control, primarily on the food intake and health habits. A person who is willing to do that can have a more or less normal life, a good career and a family life too at the cost of just a few restrictions. These patients primarily need to talk to their dietician and form a food and activity plan and suitable medication and sincerely stick to it. To make their life a little easier they can make use of sugar free sweeteners and sugar free cookbooks. One more thing that can benefit diabetic patients is loosing weight in case they are overweight.

It is also recommended for diabetic patients to join a gym or engage in some sport they enjoy and off course taking care of dietary habits is pretty much the most important measure involved. Basically, diabetic patients can lead a normal life however some restrictions are mandatory. Some patients are unfortunate enough to be needed to be injected every day of their life. Think about what you’re doing each day and ask yourself -
“Is what I’m doing now getting me to where I want to get
to?”
If the answer is “No” then do something different. Get out
of your comfort zone and change your habits.

An instructor was watching me use a piece of equipment in
the gym the other day. “Let me show you a different way to
do it” says he. As you’ll guess, the “different” way was a
lot harder, somewhat more painful, however a lot more likely
to produce results.

The human body will always find an easy way to do things and
so does our brain; however as we all know - “no pain - no
gain.” So if you want something different to happen - do
something different.

The psychologist Abraham Maslow said -
“If you deliberately plan to be less than you are capable of
being; then I warn you that you will be unhappy for the rest
of your life. You will be evading your own capabilities,
your own possibilities.”

It’s never too late to make that change.

Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonalds, was over fifty when he
started making money. Kroc was a paper cup salesman who
obtained the marketing rights to a multi-mixer invented by
Earl Prince. He criss-crossed the US for seventeen years
selling these mixers until he met up with the McDonald
brothers. Dick and Mac McDonald ordered eight of his mixers
and had them churning away all day. Kroc was entranced by
the effectiveness of the McDonald’s operation and started
thinking about building McDonald’s restaurants all over the
US. He thought he could then sell more multi-mixers. The
McDonald brothers weren’t too keen to the idea so they
franchised the restaurants to Kroc. He ultimately bought out
the McDonald brothers and as they say - the rest is history.

Ray Kroc’s belief in himself was unshakeable, as he noted
later - “I was 52 years old. I had diabetes and incipient
arthritis. I had lost my gall bladder and most of my thyroid
gland.” Kroc didn’t allow his age or his physical condition
to hold him back.

Think about the negative things you say to yourself and the
beliefs you have about yourself - don’t allow them to hold
YOU back.

Change your beliefs

If you do have negative beliefs about yourself, here’s a way
to change them.

Your subconscious will always attempt to move away from pain
and towards pleasure. So start to associate massive pain to
your negative belief. Think about how it will hold you back
and stop you achieving what you’re trying to achieve. Think
about how miserable you’ll feel if you don’t even try.

Old people rarely regret what they’ve done in their life but
they do regret what they haven’t done. So think forward to
when you’re 75 or 80 years of age and imagine how you’ll
feel if you’ve never tried.

Then start to think of the pleasure you’ll receive in
fulfilling your beliefs. Think about how good you’ll feel
when you achieve what you set out to do. If when you’re
older you look back and think about things you didn’t
achieve, at least you’ll be able to say - “I tried, I gave
it my best shot and I didn’t sit on the sidelines.”

So think big - the size of your success is determined by how
big you think. If you think small you’ll have small
achievements. If you think big - you’ll have big success and
that’s just as easy if not easier than small thinking and
small achievements.
